Bang bang chicken – This Birds of Feather menu is a Sichuan platter with daring flavors that produce a variety of textures and contrasts. It has an indefinable and discrete character, with flesh that is moist and velvety, unlike anything else. Bang bang menu gets its name from the banging, which punches the thigh and breast meat. It is combined spicy, sweet, sour, and salty sauces to complete the taste that is even better.
Burratine & Tomato – To elevate this cheesy dish, we dressed the burrata in a Sichuan sesame dressing, allowing its velvety texture to mingle with the scattering of joyn tomatoes, marinated kumquat, and topped with peanuts.
Birds of Feather Tasting Menu
Carabinero Prawn – This dish is a combination of juicy flesh and a marginally sugary yet extremely crusty brick of polenta cake. It is composed of “fish fragrant” (yu xiang) and sauce immersed with soy sauce, Chinkiang vinegar, sugar, chili peppers, garlic, ginger onion, and fermented spicy bean paste. Its aftertaste is mouth lingering which will make you feel like wanting more.
Szechuan Fish Stew – I like the taste of this Birds of a Feather menu that has acerbic and chili hot fish stew dish with preserved mustard greens, flourished with a piece of pan-seared barramundi encircled by sea cucumber mussels, and pearl quinoa. It is served tempered with cream, chive oil, and butter. An appetizing dish that will awaken every detail of your taste buds. Its creaminess is just right and every bite is notable and outstanding.
Bird’s Snack – I think, the most memorable menu comes by way of the least course appropriately named Bird’s Snack. Presenting Szechuan’s burned chili-flavored dish, served and stuffed with palliative-marinated eggplant and foie grass. It’s lightly opaque yet tasty. The presence of Foie grass makes it more palatable and pleasant in taste. Great one!
Birds of Feather Lunch Menu
We ordered crispy pork (5 pcs. / 12$) trotters that come in a brown paper bag, mix this with chili and shake it to coat the pork with a chili flavor. The pork is somewhat fatty but is never greasy. It is crispy and tender. You would think that it is so spicy because of the mixture of chili powder but it is not.
The fried calamari with yuzu tartar sauce ($19) is somewhat pricey for a few pieces but unexpected to my mind and it is mouth entertaining. I like this dish. So, awesome and great!
The signature burger ($30) is packed with a grilled beef patty, foie gras, cheddar, and caramelized onion. It goes along with fried potato, which is inviting. It is extraordinary. I love it.
